DAVID DERICKSON IS THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF ACTIVEFILM.

 

David grew up in New Orleans where he began experimenting with Super-8 film.

He moved to New York to work on the "Mr. Bill" films (shot on Super-8) for Saturday Night Live.  
After studying filmmaking at NYU and The New School in New York, he made short comedy films for Nickelodeon and USA Network and music videos for the Arista, Polydor and Atlantic record labels. Always experimenting with retro film styles, Derickson moved to the Seattle area where he continues to make short narrative films, documentaries and corporate films.
